S.B. gets Presidential pardon and Udunuwara organiser post

Former UNP National organiser, S.B.Dissanayaka has been granted a presidential pardon and appointed as UPFA organiser for Udunuwara, officials said.

Mr. Dissanayaka has been named as Udunuwara organiser instead of his hometown Hanguranketha as Minister C.D.Ratnayaka is already the SLFP organiser for the area.

Mr. Dissanayaka was earlier sentenced for one year for criticising the judiciary which disqualifies him from contesting a parliamentary election. However with the Presidential pardon the obstacles had been cleared now.
