Massive crowds at President's rally
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that a broad based programme would be launched to safeguard the future of the youth. The President observed that the target of the government was to reduce the unemployment rate.
He stressed that the youth who have not passed the Ordinary Level Examination with adequate number of credits should also have opportunities as well as those who have passed with better results.
He said that the government had a vision for its' future and a programme had been formulated to provide them employment after taking their skills into consideration.
He expressed these views while addressing the 4th UPFA rally held in Ruwanwella. Thousands of people thronged to the Ruwanwella Public grounds expressing their gratitude to the Commander in Chief who liberated the country from terrorism.
People had arrived from Ramubukkana, Mawanella, Aranayake, Kegalle, Dedigama, Galigamuwa, Ruwanwella, Yatiyantota and Deraniyagala electorates.
