Arrest warrant on food catering company owner

The Mt. Lavinia Magistrate Harsha Sethunga today issued an arrest warrant on a suspected wanted in connection with the case of detection of over Rs. 75 million in the safe locker of Ms. Ashoka Thilakaratna, mother of Dhanuna Thilakarana who is also evading arrest.

 

The CID informed courts that they would have to seek Interpol assistance to arrest the suspect identified as Parana Liyanage Don Sanjeewa Kumara, the owner of a food catering company as he had allegedly left the country. 

 

Courts was informed that the suspect had been identified as the person who came with Ms. Thiakaratna to deposit the cash including US dollars and was wanted for questioning. 

 

A vehicle purchased by the suspect at an army auction was also detained on the court order. 

 

Mr Dhanuna Thilakaratna is married to a daughter of General (retd) Sarath Fonseka.
