UNP General Secretary informs Elections Commissioner of fraud in Moneragala list

The UNP Secretary General has informed the Elections Commissioner in writing about the alteration of the UNP nominations list for the Moneragala District without his knowledge.

The letter titled “The fraudulent alteration of a name in the nominations list,” has requested the Elections Commissioner to hold a further inquiry in to the matter and include the name of Tissa Kuttiarachchi in the UNP Moneragala District nominations list.

Tissa Kuttiarachchi said that he would resort to legal action if his name is not included in the nominations list following an inquiry into the matter by the Elections Commissioner.
